Introduction

We would like to share our newly acquired extension to the Groenvlei Farm Guesthouse business with you. Even though we are not there to welcome you personally, we do hope that you will feel at home and enjoy your stay. You have the entire house to yourself. There is a lot to discover and experience in our beautiful town, Graaff Reinet.

Accommodation

The house is very spacious with three bedrooms, 1 ½ bathrooms and two big lounges. There are two double bedrooms, one bedroom with two single beds and another bed in the enclosed porch, a sleeper couch in the lounge (sleeps 8, if necessary). Besides TV, air conditioner, ceiling fans or heaters, the kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with microwave oven, tea/coffee, rusks and outdoor braaiing facilities. The house will be fully serviced and cleaned once you leave. There is plenty of secure parking for two vehicles with trailers, so that once you have parked, you can safely walk to Spar, Spur, restaurants, museums and other places of interest.

Surroundings

Graaff Reinet is the largest town in the district. Graaff Reinet, the “gem” of the Karoo, is the oldest town in the Eastern Cape and the fourth oldest in South Africa.

A large number of buildings sporting the Cape Dutch to Victorian eras has been preserved and restored. Graaff Reinet also has more proclaimed national mountains than any other town in South Africa– 220 in total!
