Introduction

Du Bois Lodge is a delightful thatched Lodge with comfortable accommodation situated in a 3000 Ha Reserve adjoining the Kruger National Park on the southern border (Crocodile River). 15 minutes drive from the Crocodile Bridge Entrance Gate there is an easy access to the Kruger National Park (KNP) although the Reserve itself is home to a wide variety of game and you can enjoy the sight of may of these roaming around the Lodge!

Accommodation

The Lodge can accommodate 10 persons. There are 5 en-suite air-conditioned rooms with bedding and towels.

The Lodge functions as a self catering facility with a communal kitchen which is fully equipped. Should you not want to cater for yourself, you can enjoy a pub lunch or a meal at one of the Reserve’s Restaurants.

Enjoy a braai /barbeque around the fire at night whilst listening to the sounds of the African bush- al lion’s roar or hyena call and the grunting of hippo in the river!

A splash pool provides refreshing relief during the warmer summer months.

Game drives, night drives, golf nearby and a birdwatchers paradise. Close enough to Swaziland, Mozambique and the Panorama for day trips.

A comfortable 4 hour drive from Johannesburg/Pretoria on the N12/N4 towards the KNP. Daily flights are also available from Johannesburg to KMIA (Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport) 1 hour.

The KNP can be entered from the Crocodile Bridge Gate (+/- 15 km from the Reserve) or Malelane Gate (+/- 35 km from Reserve.

Facilities

The Reserve has a shop stocking groceries, firewood, charcoal, ice, curios which also fresh baked bread and rolls daily. There is a bottle store and a laundromat close by.

Tennis, Volleyball and a swimming pool can be enjoyed at the Club House (an entrance fee is payable). Braai facilities are also available.
