Introduction

The Guest House consists of three cottages that were adapted in Victorian times from cottages which were attached to the Zonnebloem Farm House. Being of such historical significance, it was given the status of a National Heritage Site.

Its location in District Six, accompanied by the informality and timeless tranquility of the historic cottages within the surrounding grounds, were the determinants for converting the cottages into a Guest House for visitors to enjoy.

District Six Guest House is an experience of Cape Malay hospitality that is renowned for its warmth and endearment, reminding one of the cultural diversity of the people that once lived there.
